Paige + Matthew put so much time and effort to make sure their wedding day went just as planned. Getting ready started at Paige’s family home. Hair and make-up was set up in one room while the rest of the bridesmaids and family members all gathered and kept the enery high. After a mimosa, some detail photos, and photos with her girls, Paige got into her lace detailed wedding dress. While the girls got done getting ready and made their way to the Rivers Casino, the groomsmen and Matt were there getting ready! Matt had some Pittsburgh memorabilia included in his groom’s details and had his father and groomsmen helping him get ready. They were able to do some portraits as a group before Paige + Matt had their first touch. A first touch allowed them to have a moment together and read their vows before the ceremony while staying traditional and waiting to physically see one another while walking down the aisle. Paige and I went through some back rooms with the coordinator so she wouldn’t be seen- it was quite the experience. Once the ceremony began in the Rivers Ballroom, there wasn’t a dry eye in the house as Matt saw Paige for the first time. It was a beautiful ceremony which was followed by family portraits. We headed outside the casino in the back by the river for portrait time. Next we took the party bus and took the remaining portraits at Allegheny Commons Park West which was nearby. We had a blast with the bridal party and spent the remaining time for Paige + Matt’s wedding portraits, featuring her cathedral long veil which was incredibly romantic. Their reception took place in the Event Center space at the casino, which is on the opposite side of the hallway of the ceremony space, and was decked out in uplighting, gorgeous jewel toned details and flowers, and a stunning 2 tiered cake. The bridal party waved their Steeler’s terrible towels as they made their grand entrance, had their first dance, cake cutting, family dances, and speeches before tearing up the dance floor. Guests were having a blast at the photobooth which we provided! Before the end of the evening, we snuck out for a few nighttime portraits on the outside balcony which ended up showing off the twilight sky and a very relaxed and in love couple. We also captured videography for this wedding day, which you can watch the highlight film for here.
