If you had the pleasure of growing up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, you know all about Sarris Candies. They are the creators of decadent, chocolate sweets and other yummy treats. One of the best gifts as a child was receiving the fun character shapes of mouth-watering milk chocolate pieces or a bag of the chocolate covered pretzels. Nothing could be better-except if you were lucky enough to visit their location in Canonsburg, PA near Washington. Not only is it a candy store decorated for the kids and kids at heart with life size chocolate displays (which are works of art) and oversized teddy bears, but there's also an ice cream parlor attached to top it off. Talk about JACKPOT!!! Sarris Candies Ice Cream Parlor is a hit and is just as delicious as you can possibly imagine with their original flavors and generous sundaes. They are so fantastic you have to taste to believe. It's a great place for families to have an afternoon treat together, team sports to celebrate after a hard-fought baseball game, and of course those wonderful first dates with your crush! 

We were lucky enough to get permission to have an amazing styled shoot there one beautiful weekend before the store opened to the customers. I've personally been there many times as a child and a few times when I drove down from Washington & Jefferson College, but seeing it empty in all it's glory...that was truly fulfilling a childhood dream (think Elf). Not to mention a professional dream to capture so many lovely photos with an even lovelier couple as well! Jessica & Matthew won my contest hosted online on our Facebook page, Happy Out Photography, which granted them all-exclusive access to Sarris Candies for some keepsake photographs along with a ginormous 3 scoop sundae topped with whipped cream and a few bright red cherries. The morning was full of love, giggles, and lots of sweets! We could not have hoped for a better time!
